MEMORIAL WEEKEND EVENTS
With Memorial Day approaching, we have a few events scheduled and the more participants the better!
Saturday 5/29 will be a mixed crew race. All boat captains should bring as many crew members as they can (experienced, new, or never-sailed-before) to the skipper's meeting. All crew names will be put in a hat and the boat captains will draw their crew for the race from the hat. If the need arises, we will have an "experienced" and "inexperienced" pool to draw from so we get a good mix for each boat. It should be a great way for everyone to sail with new people, and crew on different boats. Skipper's meeting will be at 1:00pm and start time will be a 2:30pm. The sailing club will cookout hamburgers and hotdogs afterwards at the pavilion. Everyone bring a dish or dessert to share.
Sunday 5/30 will be the hare and hound chase. The "hare" boat will set out with a head start and the first boat to soak the skipper of the hare with water guns/balloons is the winner. There will be a two hour time limit. Skipper's meeting at 2:00pm, start at 3:00pm.
Monday 5/31 will be Breakfast on D-dock. D-dock will host Memorial Day breakfast on the dock at 9:30am. Anyone from D-dock interested in helping out should contact Jennifer Patterson or myself.
